Amsterdam part 2 Halal food and majestic mosques

Halal food and majestic mosques. Food: When in Amsterdam forget Mcdonalds and Burger king and instead try out the vast range of Dutch food available. From Kibbeling (cubes of hot steaming battered fish which will have your tastebuds singing on a cold winters day) and delicious crispy Frites (legendary french fries smothered with creamy mayonnaise or ketchup served in a cone) which is sure to never let you look at the humble french fry the same way again. Both of these can be found in every corner in central Amsterdam. Halal food options: 🍔🌭🍟 Artisani  was our favourite go to spot for delicious thick patty burgers, the perfect seasoned frites and huge scrumptious hotdogs and tart freshly made strawberry lemonade. Similar in concept and taste to Shake shack. Artisani is located on Kinkerstraat (near to Action/Mcdonalds) 🥐🍳 Simit sarayi   also on Kinkerstraat has large range of Turkish light food options and is a delectable halal breakfast option. 🥘 Piri Reis  gran...

A weekend in Switzerland are what dreams are made of

When planning a holiday in switzerland, do not underestimate the cost of transport. Switzerland has an amazing transport network which is smart, fast, efficient and very very expensive. My advice would be to decide what you want to do, for how long and where you want to go. Once you have established this, choose a pass that suits you. It is worth every penny as single journeys are insanely expensive. Passes usualy include trains, buses, boats and mountain modes of transport like cable cars. As we came for the weekend, We wanted to base ourselves in Luzern and travel around from there. Luzern had a special on the Luzern Tell Pass (free 2 day Tell Pass when you book at certain hotels in Luzern) which gives you transport and access to all the highlights in Central switzerland which works out very well. This pass does not include transport from/to Zurich  to Luzern. (€30 per way pp) My suggestions to see if you staying in Lucerne: MOUNT RIGI, MOUNT TITLIS AND DO THE GOLDEN P...

Prague

Old town Prague is a beautiful cobble  stoned area filled with charm and beautifuly maintained buildings. Stroll through the  streets and you can easily feel what life would have been in the 1800s. A river cruise on the Vltava river is a memorable experience and an ideal way of seeing the beautiful, historical Prague from a different perspective. There are many boat tour operators all lined up next to each other and most leave on the hour. Food: There are lots and lots of cafès and coffee shops everywhere. People love to sit outside in good weather and chill and chat over a coffee and cake. Kürtőskalács ( transliterated kurtosh kalach) is a spit cake specific to Hungarian-speaking regions in Romania or called chimney cake Kürtőskalács is made from sweet, yeast dough (raised dough), of which a strip of dough is spun and then wrapped around a truncated cone–shaped baking spit, and rolled in granulated sugar. It is roasted over charcoal while basted with melted butter, until...
